Located in a village named as one of the Best Villages in England (so good it had to be included in the book even though it’s in Wales), the Hats and Barrels is a relatively recent addition to the food offering in Pembrokeshire but it has made its mark quickly with its varied menu of Welsh produce, excellent service, and light-filled restaurant and garden terrace next to the River Solva. The restaurant is dog and family friendly; drink offerings include local ales, cocktails, spirits and soft drinks.  Opening hours are general from 11am to 10 or 11pm but if the bar is quiet, earlier closing times may occur.

Brewery Inn, Cosheston

The Brewery Inn has recently changed hands but the new owners have continued to deliver superb, high quality food and drink in a relaxing and olde-world setting. The menu is focussed on local produce with a mix of traditional countryside pub dining and stylish modern dishes. Open from Wednesday to Sunday.

Castle Inn, Little Haven
