FAQS

MOST FREQUENTLY ASKS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

2 dogs are welcome in the Barn and 3 in the Coach House – more by prior arrangement. We make a small charge of £10 per dog per stay to accommodate any extra cleaning required

We ask guests not to leave dogs unattended; they are in a strange place and will probably get distressed. If they howl or bark the guests in the neighbouring property may be disturbed. If it is very hot and you are going somewhere that requires you to leave the dog(s) in your vehicle, please just drop us a message so we can come to an amicable arrangement.

We don’t currently have charging facilities and guests can not use a 13amp socket/granny lead to charge their vehicle due to the fire risk. There are multiple charging points behind the Co-Op in Neyland and a list of public charging points located throughout Pembrokeshire can be found in the cottage. We can email a copy of the list to you before your arrival if you would like.

We provide a barrel BBQ (charcoal – please bring your own) and there is also a firepit available. Logs are provided for the log burner and may also be used in the firepit. Please take care with little ones and dogs.

We have free WiFi as well as a wired internet port (plus RJ45 cable) and desk in each cottage for those working from home.

Yes, we have a travel cot and high chair for each cottage – these will need to be requested in advance as we do not store them in the cottages; you will need to bring cot bedding. We also have stair gates at all of the steps/stairs in the cottages. There are children’s plastic plates, bowls, drinking cups (no lids) and cutlery for guest use.

Unfortunately the cottages do not have ground floor cloakroom or bathroom facilities and there are no ground floor bedrooms

We have check-in every day except Saturday and Sunday, however we may be able to accommodate arrival on those days – please enquire for availability

The outside space for the Barn includes social as well as parking space for one car for each cottage. The garden/patio for the Coach House is separated by a gated picket fence. Guests staying at the Coach House should note that, when they drive into the parking area, there may be children or dogs playing in the garden/patio for the Barn so please take extra care.

We apply a damage deposit of £150 to each booking. This can be paid either as a bank transfer prior to arrival or as funds reserved on a debit or credit card. If guests prefer to pay by bank transfer, funds are returned within 7 days of departure provided there is no damage. If funds are reserved on a card, this happens up to 7 days prior to arrival; they are released within 7 days of departure as long as there is no damage.

There is space for 1 car per property on the drive (allowing for safe turning of vehicles). There is unrestricted free parking on the street for additional vehicles

Yes, we have both in each cottage. There is also a washing line outside and pegs provided as well as an indoor airer in case it is wet

We ask that guests only burn kiln-dried timber in the log burner; Wales is soon banning the burning of other types of timber; we provide firelighters, kindling and a good quantity of logs (some inside and the remainder in a bucket in the shed). The log burners are only suitable for wood burning

Absolutely – we accommodate many active guests who bring their own wetsuits and equipment. The area is very safe but, for your peace of mind, the outside space is covered by a security camera. You may wish to secure your equipment with relevant locks – locking points will be installed at the cottages later this year.

There is an outside washing line attached to the wall of the cottage and pegs in the kitchen cupboard. If it is raining we ask that you hang your wetsuits up in the shower to drip so that the water doesn’t damage the floor/skirting boards

The bathrooms both have a bath with shower attachment plus a shower cubicle with rainwater shower

Each landing is equipped with a gentle ‘Dawn to Dusk’ nightlight for both children and also for adults needing to get up in the night

Once your reservation is confirmed and your deposit paid, you will receive a link to our TouchStay Digital Guidebook which contains lots of useful information about the cottages and the local area. Each cottage is also equipped with a stand containing tourism leaflets for the many attractions and facilities in the county. We can’t stock them all as there is so much to do here, but we have tried to provide a good range to suit all tastes. We have a hard-copy information stand which will give you lots of information including local Doctors and dentists, places of worship, cashpoint machines, cafes, public houses and restaurants both in the immediate locality and further afield. We are currently setting up a Digital Guidebook for guests which will contain lots of information on things to do, places to eat, dog and child-friendly activities and restaurants, as well as information on the cottages. The guidebook has a direct link with Google maps, it can be accessed offline and shared with other guests in your group. We hope to have the guidebook ready for use by guests in late summer 2023.

We can not cover every question here so, if you have a question that we haven’t answered, please feel free to contact us by email or on the Contact Us form and we will respond as quickly as possible.
